Welcome to RefundHero ("Company", "we", "our", "us")!

These Terms of Service govern your use of our web application (refundhero.com), mobile application, and any related services provided by RefundHero.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

Account Creation

To use certain features of our Service, you must register for an account with us. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Subscription Service Description

RefundHero provides a service that helps users identify and request refunds for subscription charges by:

• Scanning your email for subscription charges (with your permission)
• Automating refund requests to merchants on your behalf
• Tracking the status of your refund requests

You understand that RefundHero does not guarantee refunds will be granted, as this is ultimately at the discretion of each merchant. Our service increases the likelihood of refund approval by following best practices and optimizing the request process.

Service Tiers and Payment

RefundHero offers the following service tiers:

• Free Plan: Allows up to 5 refund requests per month
• Pro Plan: Provides unlimited refund requests for $5/month and includes "guaranteed refund" credit for rejected claims

By subscribing to our Pro Plan, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your designated payment method. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms.

Gmail Access and Data Usage

Our service requires access to your Gmail account to scan for subscription charges. By granting RefundHero access to your Gmail account, you authorize us to:

• Scan your emails for subscription-related content
• Extract information about merchants, subscription charges, and dates
• Store this information securely to provide the Service

We access your Gmail data in accordance with Google's API Services User Data Policy. We will only request and use the minimum necessary permissions to provide our services, and will never:

• Sell your Gmail data to third parties
• Use your Gmail data for advertising purposes
• Read or store the content of emails unrelated to subscription charges

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RefundHero to:

• Submit fraudulent refund requests
• Request refunds for services you have fully used or consumed
• Circumvent any merchant's terms of service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it

Guaranteed Refund Credit (Pro Plan)

For Pro Plan subscribers, we offer a "guaranteed refund" credit under these conditions:

1. The refund request was made within the merchant's stated refund window
2. The subscription charge was clearly identifiable and legitimate
3. The merchant explicitly denied the refund request
4. The request adhered to all RefundHero and merchant guidelines

The credit is limited to the lesser of the subscription charge amount or $50 per month. Credits are applied to your account and can be used for future Pro Plan subscription fees.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall RefundHero, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
• Denial of refund requests by merchants

Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you must stop using the Service.
